BBC The War of The Worlds

This Autumn sees the launch of one of the most hotly anticipated events of British television this year, the BBC The War of The Worlds adaptation! So far, we’ve only seen the trailer but we’re excited to see it over here at Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience and having crowned ourselves the biggest The War of The Worlds fans ever, we thought we’d do some digging.

So here is a list of everything we know about the series so far:

  • This adaptation (unlike many in previous years) promises to stick closely to the 19th century classic by H.G.Wells and will be set to the iconic backdrop of Woking in Surrey.
  • With an all-star cast including Eleanor Tomlinson, Rafe Spall and Robert Carlyle it’s definitely lining itself up to be one of the big hitters in 2019 television.
  • This production introduces us to new power couple George and Amy. This dynamic duo stole the show in the trailer and we can’t wait to see how their stories develop.
  • YES, the show has already been broadcast in certain areas. The eager fans among you might’ve even caught a glimpse of the episodes online. This was due to the shows rights already being sold worldwide in 2018.
  • Previous adaptations have focused mainly on Earth, but the BBC The War of The Worlds adaptation has already given us a glimpse at the red planet itself during the trailer.

So now you know everything about the BBC The War of The Worlds adaptation why not come and try out our experience first-hand! Our story is different to any of the others (just the way we like it) with different characters and terrifying Martian Fighting Machines it’s like comparing apples and oranges. So come along, book your tickets here. We’d love to transport you back in time and take you through the Martian invasion for yourself…we just hope you #SurviveTheWar.
