What is it?

Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience combines Jeff’s Musical Version, immersive theatre, virtual reality, augmented reality, holograms and other cutting-edge technology; giving audiences the chance to live through the Martian invasion of 1898.

Do I need to know the story?

No, not at all! We have designed the experience to be understood and enjoyed by those who don’t know anything about The War of The Worlds.

Can I purchase tickets at the venue?

We advise booking tickets in advance for your preferred date and time. There may be a limited number of tickets available at the venue for shows taking place on the day but this is not guaranteed.

What is the best way to get there?

There is no designated parking at the venue, however we are close to London transport links. The closest tube stations are Aldgate, Tower Hill, Liverpool St and Bank. The closest overground stations are Fenchurch St and Tower Gateway DLR station. St Katherine Cree bus stop is located right outside the venue.

How early should I arrive for my visit?

Guests are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. This is to ensure that you can get checked-in properly before your entry time. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate latecomers.

How long is the experience?

Your experience will last for around 2 hours, including a 20 minute intermission in the Red Weed Bar. In addition to the experience we have our very own steampunk themed bar where you can enjoy drinks and delicious meals before and after the show.

What is the minimum age? Is this okay for children?

The experience is suitable for guests aged 10+. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. Children aged 10-12yrs will require written parental consent prior to admission. Under 18s must vacate the main bar area by 8pm.

Do I need to print my tickets and bring them along on the day?

No, you can show the digital copies to the box office upon arrival.

I can’t find my ticket confirmation, will this be a problem?

When you book via our website, you should receive the tickets by email shortly afterwards. If you haven’t received any confirmation, please check your spam/junk folder it can sometimes end up in there. If you still can’t find them, please email us at hello@dotdot.london.

What forms of payment do you accept?

The venue is cash-free, so please ensure you bring your debit card, credit card, smartphone or smartwatch for digital payments. We accept all major credit and debit cards types, including American Express.

How many guests are in each group?

Guests are in groups of up to 8 people and each group has a dedicated timeslot.

What should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable in, but you must wear flat shoes or trainers. High heels, flip flops or similar are not suitable and we reserve the right to refuse entry for health and safety reasons.

Is there somewhere to store personal belongings?

We provide complimentary lockers to store any bags or loose articles and you will be given instructions on how to use them upon arrival. Please note, we will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen items.

What food & drink will be available at the venue?

The main bar has a full range of cocktails, beers, wines, spirits, meals & snacks. The interval bar offers a limited selection of drinks & snacks including ice creams and our signature Red Weed Cocktail.

Is there a place for my family/friends to wait?

Your family/friends are welcome to wait in the main bar whilst you’re inside the experience but remember, the experience lasts for 2 hours and it’s much more fun for all involved if you are able to join them.

Can I take photos?

We’d love to see your snaps of the day on social media, but there is no photography, videography or recording inside the experience. Professional photos will be taken at the end of the experience and you will have the opportunity to purchase these at the box office.

What are the sizes of your VR equipment?

Our equipment is fully adjustable. The headsets are designed to be universal and adjust for different head sizes.

Do the VR headsets fit over glasses?

Yes, the headsets are fully adjustable and will fit over most glasses. It may be more comfortable if you are able to wear contact lenses.

I have a medical condition, is this experience suitable for me?

For safety reasons, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart conditions, asthma, back or neck conditions, epilepsy, or any type of medical condition affecting the senses of smell, vision, or hearing. For further information, please click here.

Is there any chance of motion sickness?

Yes, due to the nature of the technology some guests may experience dizziness and/or motion sickness however, the scenes are typically less than 10mins in duration. For further information, please click here.

Can I do the experience if I’m pregnant?

Can I wear my hearing aids?

Yes, you can wear your hearing aids inside the experience. Please let our team know if you require additional support with positioning the VR headsets.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes, we offer gift vouchers, which are available to purchase online.

What packages are available for large group bookings or corporate events?

What is your cancellation policy?

Tickets cannot be cancelled or refunded after purchase. In the event that our experience is temporarily closed due to force majeure, we will offer a complimentary exchange on tickets so that guests can visit the experience on a new date and time of their choice, upon re-opening.
